One-Day Cup: Paul Collingwood leads Durham to Warwickshire win
Royal London One-Day Cup, Gosforth
Durham 265-5 (46.1 overs) beat Warwickshire 264 (49.4 overs) by five wickets
Paul Collingwood led Durham to a five-wicket One-Day Cup victory over Warwickshire, despite a century from ex-England team-mate Jonathan Trott.
Trott followed up a Championship ton against Sussex last week with a 108-ball 106, while Tim Ambrose's 70 helped the Bears post 264 all out.
John Hastings' List A best 5-46 limited the Bears, before Mark Stoneman's 50 helped Durham to 138-3 after 25 overs.
But Collingwood (77) eased Durham home with 23 balls to spare at Gosforth.
The victory was the hosts' first One-Day Cup win of the summer, while Warwickshire are no longer unbeaten in the competition, having won their first two matches in Group B.
After Hastings and Chris Rushworth (3-55) saw off the Warwickshire tail, Stoneman and wicketkeeper Phil Mustard (42) put on 88 for the first wicket, before the latter was caught off Josh Poysden, a 22-year-old leg-break bowler on trial with the Bears.
Scotland international Calum MacLeod added another 46 and, despite the game looking in the balance at the halfway point of Durham's innings, Collingwood saw his side to victory.
