Yorkshire Vikings 186-8 (20ovs) beat Durham Jets 137 (19.4ovs) by 49 runs
Jonny Bairstow scored his first Twenty20 century as Yorkshire beat Durham by 49 runs in the T20 Blast.
John Hastings (3-20) was key early on as the visitors slipped to 83-5.
Bairstow then smashed 102 off 58 balls, including six sixes and eight fours, while Adil Rashid (29) hit two sixes in a 19-ball knock in Yorkshire's 186-8.
Durham slumped to 4-2 in reply, with both Mark Stoneman and Calum MacLeod making three-ball ducks and they were dismissed for 137 in the final over.
Six different Yorkshire bowlers were amongst the wickets. Rich Pyrah was the pick of them with 3-19 from four overs, while Azeem Rafiq (2-5) took two wickets in three balls to wrap the innings up.
Hastings added to his earlier three wickets with a 32-ball 62, which included four sixes and five fours.
Earlier, the visitors lost Twenty20 dangerman Aaron Finch in the first over for a second-ball duck, while Kane Williamson, Adam Lyth and Tim Bresnan were also out for single-figure scores.
Bairstow, who arrived at the crease in the third over with Yorkshire on 12-2, was initially watchful and did not hit his first boundary until the 10th over.
But Bairstow smashed three successive sixes off Gareth Breese in the 19th over and followed that with a four and another maximum in the final over to push Yorkshire to an ultimately match-winning total.
He became the third Yorkshire player to hit a T20 century, while it was the first ton scored at Chester-le-Street in Twenty20 history.
Victory for fourth-placed Yorkshire means their lead over Durham, in fifth, is three points with three games remaining.
