T20 Blast: Andrew Flintoff helps Lancashire beat Leicestershire
NatWest T20 Blast, Grace Road
Lancashire Lightning 151-7 (20ovs) beat Leicestershire Foxes 133 (20ovs) by 18 runs
Andrew Flintoff's three-wicket haul helped Lancashire beat Leicestershire by 18 runs at Grace Road.
The 36-year-old, who took two wickets on his county return last weekend, finished with 3-26 from four overs as the hosts were dismissed for 133.
Lancashire's victory ensures they became the first team to book their place in this season's quarter-finals.
Earlier, Ashwell Prince (41) helped the visitors to 151-7 despite a mid-order collapse, including Flintoff for one.
It was the former England international's first return to the crease as a batsman, after he was not required to bat in Lancashire's 50-run victory over Worcestershire.
Flintoff faced only four balls before being trapped leg before by Josh Cobb (2-18).
Jigar Naik took 3-30 as Lancashire slipped from 105-3 to 114-7, but Jordan Clark's unbeaten 20 from 16 balls pushed them to a competitive target.
In reply, Flintoff got rid of Niall O'Brien for 24 in his second over and then returned to see off Scott Styris (14), just as he was beginning to look dangerous.
Josh Cobb made 60 from 51 balls to always keep Leicestershire in touch, but he was bowled by Junaid Khan (2-34).
Flintoff had Tom Wells caught by Steven Croft for three with the final ball of his spell.
