Match scorecard

Will Beer and Lewis Hatchett claimed three wickets each as Sussex cruised to victory against South Group bottom side Middlesex at Hove.

On a pitch that proved difficult to bat on, leg-spinner Beer (3-22) ripped the heart out of the Middlesex order.

Seamer Hatchett (3-23) then polished off the tail, only Ryan Higgins (31) resisting, as they posted 107.

The hosts were rarely in trouble in reply as Chris Nash crashed 74 from 53 balls, finishing the game with a six.

The opener's fireworks ensured that Sussex recorded back-to-back wins to get home with 23 balls to spare.

Their victory has boosted hopes of qualifying for the quarter-finals, with places going to the top four sides in each of the North and South Groups.

Middlesex's chances of doing so have already disappeared, having still recorded just one T20 Blast win this summer.
