Match scorecard

Leicestershire's ninth-wicket pair of Niall O'Brien and Nathan Buck batted for 22 overs, before rain arrived and Glamorgan had to settle for a draw.

After beginning the final day on 168-3, the visitors then lost five wickets for nine runs in 10 overs, as they slumped to 182-8, still 59 behind.

Michael Hogan took 3-41, Tom Helm and Jim Allenby claiming two wickets each.

O'Brien (19 not out) and Buck steered the visitors to 204-8, before rain dashed Glamorgan's hopes of a victory.

BBC Radio Leicester's Richard Rae:

"There was a certain poetic justice in the fact that having been very much on the wrong end of the conditions all match, the weather finally took pity to save Leicestershire from what looked to be certain defeat. Another three or four overs from Michael Hogan and the odds are it would have been curtains for the Foxes.

"That being said, there was an impressive determination about the batting of Niall O'Brien and Nathan Buck, who kept on fighting to preserve their wickets in the hope that the showers would eventually sweep in, and Leicestershire will take a lot of heart from that.

"Changes will be made for the next match, against Gloucestershire, not least because a rearranged fixture against Derbyshire means that the Foxes will be playing 24 days of cricket in June. They will see both those games as chances to pick up that elusive first win though, especially as both are at Grace Road."
