Daryl Mitchell deserves England consideration, says Steve Rhodes

Worcestershire skipper Daryl Mitchell's early-season form warrants consideration from the England selectors, says his county coach Steve Rhodes.

"To score the runs he has so far this season, he's done a fine job," Rhodes told BBC Hereford & Worcester. "They'll be picking Test teams soon and, although he might not get in the side, I'd like to think he might at least get a mention."

Mitchell, who has hit three centuries in four Championship matches this season, is the country's top scorer with 532 runs and although playing his cricket in Division Two, county colleague Moeen Ali has bridged the gap with a call-up top England's limited-overs squad.
