Trent Johnston builds up to his retirement from Ireland duty

Trent Johnston insists there will be no going back on his decision to retire from Ireland duty despite his impressive form in the current World Twenty20 Qualifier in the United Arab Emirates.

Johnston, 39, will end his Ireland career after next month's Intercontinental Cup final against Afghanistan.

Johnston's 35 runs proved crucial for Ireland in the semi-final win over the host country on Friday

The Irish went on to record a 62-run win as they progressed to a final meeting with the Afghans on Saturday.
