Isle of Man beaten by Germany in ICC Division One

The Isle of Man have lost their third match at the ICC Europe Division One tournament in Sussex.

The Manx team, who were promoted to the competition after winning Division Two last year, were beaten by Germany at Horsham on Tuesday.

After making 122-9, the islanders' opponents then reached 125-5 in 16.1 overs to claim a four-wicket victory.

Having lost to France earlier on Tuesday, the Manx side are on the verge of being eliminated.

In that game they fell 20 runs short of the French side's target of 197-5 and three consecutive defeats leaves them bottom of Group B.

The Manx team, who lost their opening match to Denmark on Monday play Belgium on Thursday and Jersey on Friday. 

Meanwhile, Group A is being contested by Austria, Guernsey, Gibraltar, Italy, Norway and Sweden.  .

The top two nations progress to the World T20 qualifiers in the United Arab Emirates in November.
