England women thrash West Indies in T20 match at Hove

England thrashed West Indies by 84 runs at Hove to take a 4-0 lead in the five-match Twenty20 series.

Lydia Greenway hit an unbeaten 61 from 45 deliveries and shared a third-wicket stand of 98 with Sarah Taylor to help the home side to 154-3.

Danielle Hazell then picked up 4-12 as West Indies were restricted to 70-8, despite opener Stefanie Taylor carrying her bat for 40.

The final match of the series is at Arundel on Sunday.

"It's been another great team performance," said Greenway. "I was really pleased to contribute and to play positively.

"It was good to get out there and get some runs under my belt. I always enjoy batting with Sarah Taylor and today we rotated the strike well.

"We were comfortable with the target we set and our bowlers once again put in an excellent performance, all executing their plans to restrict the West Indies.

"We're really pleased with our performance and we'll be making sure we continue to the same standard as we head into the final match of the series at Arundel."

At the conclusion of the West Indies series England, who are now unbeaten in their last 21 T20 internationals, travel to the World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka, where they begin their campaign against Pakistan on 27 September.
