Surrey cantered to a 93-run Clydesdale Bank 40 Group B win over the Welsh Dragons at the Oval.
The match helped launch the Tom Maynard Trust in memory of the ex-Glamorgan and Surrey player who died in June.
Matthew Spriegel's 51 and 43 from Kevin Pietersen helped Surrey reach 219, with Dragons' Graham Wagg taking 4-45.
Dragons lost skipper Mark Wallace and Jim Allenby early, and despite some late blows from Wagg and Dean Cosker slumped to 126 all out in reply.
Gareth Batty was the pick of the Surrey bowlers as he finished with impressive figures of 3-4 from his two overs.
Surrey climb to second in the table, a point behind leaders Hampshire, while Dragons are second from bottom with one round of group matches remaining.
