Warwickshire are lining up a temporary replacement for off-spinner Jeetan Patel following his recall by New Zealand for their series against India.
Patel's form this season has earned him selection for the Kiwis' two-match series, starting on 23 August.
He is due back for the Championship decider against Notts at Trent Bridge.
But Patel, who has picked up 36 County Championship wickets at 23.50 each, will leave after next week's CB40 game against Sussex at Hove.

“It's tough to be leaving the squad here at Edgbaston during our run-in to the end of the season”
Depending on selection and results, there is a possibility that he could also be back for the penultimate Championship game against Worcestershire at New Road.
But the title-chasing Bears have confirmed that they will try and bring in a stand-in for the two, possibly three Championship matches that he will miss.
Patel, who has taken 40 Test wickets for his country, made the most recent of his 13 appearances, after a year's absence, against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo last November.
"I'm thrilled to be back in the New Zealand squad," he said.
"It's tough to be leaving the squad here at Edgbaston during our run-in to the end of the season.
"I'm bowling well and have made a good contribution but I'll certainly be following things pretty closely in India.
"We've got a strong squad and I look forward to joining back up with them in our final game of the season at Trent Bridge."
