Northants boss discusses poor form with David Capel
Northants chief executive David Smith has had a meeting with head coach David Capel about their poor start to the limited overs season.
Capel's side have yet to win in 10 games in the T20 or CB40 competitions.
And due to this lack of form, Smith felt the need to meet with the coach in order to discuss these issues.
Smith told BBC Northampton: "I have had a meeting with David Capel. But generally the bottom line is David has to get the results right on the field.
"David is fully aware of the need to get things back on track and to be fair to him he is, as you would expect, giving it his best shot but at the moment it's not happening for him."
He continued, "Our white ball cricket, results wise, has been disappointing although we remain competitive in the four-day competition."
