Yorkshire were left frustrated as a dogged Northants held on to draw their Division Two clash at Headingley.
Resuming their second innings on 43-1, 120 runs behind, Alex Wakely put on a partnership of 65 with Rob White (42) before being dismissed for 66.
David Murphy (31) and Con de Lange (20) put on an unbeaten stand of 52.
And Yorkshire were left to make do with moving up to second in the table as bad light stopped play with Northants 250-6 and the hosts 87 runs behind.
