Michael Carberry and Simon Katich both made half centuries as the final day ended in a rain-hit draw at Headingley.
Resuming on 21-1, Hampshire lost Jimmy Adams, caught behind for 49.
Carberry and Katich then came together to compile an unbroken stand of 103 to help lead their team to safety.
Both hit 61 not out before the weather brought an early end to this meeting of last summer's two relegated Division One teams, with only 54 overs possible in the day as Hampshire reached 191-2.
