Leicestershire's last pair of Wayne White and Matthew Hoggard dug in for 9.2 overs to earn their side a draw with Northants.

After Leicestershire declared on their overnight 38-2, Northants made 26-0 to set the hosts 341 to win.

Ramnaresh Sarwan (94) and Josh Cobb (59) gave them a scent of victory.

But Lee Daggett took 4-76 to leave Leicestershire on the brink at 268-9, with White and Hoggard steering them to 289-9 before a draw was declared.
