Paceman David Willey took the third five-wicket haul of his career as Northants beat Hampshire by 117 runs.
Willey (5-39), Lee Daggett (3-44) and Jack Brooks (2-53) skittled the visitors out for 179 in 40.2 overs.
The only real resistance from Hampshire came from Michael Carberry who hit 61 off 88 balls, including two sixes.
Earlier, Northants added 56 to their overnight total and declared on 232-9 with Andrew Hall finishing with 41 and Niall O'Brien making 27 not out.

"There were a couple of periods of play which contributed to Hampshire losing this game.
"The first hour on the first day which allowed Northants to get to 68 before they lost their first wicket, having put them in.
"And the last session on day three, where Northants scored 110 losing just three wickets, which allowed them to build a sizeable lead in a low-scoring game."
