Yorkshire completed victory over Leicestershire by an innings and 22 runs to claim their first County Championship win since relegation.
They were made to work hard for it by a battling Leicestershire, who had resumed on the final morning on 102-3.
Matthew Boyce led the rearguard action by completing a career-best 122, while Wayne White (67) offered good support.
But Ryan Sidebottom removed Boyce and Robbie Joseph in successive balls as Leicestershire were dismissed for 309.
It was left to Steven Patterson, who had taken the first three wickets in Leicestershire's second innings, to wrap up the win by dismissing Claude Henderson to finish with 5-77 and career-best match figures of 8-94.
