British Lionhearts set for boxing debut in Wales

Olympic silver medallist Fred Evans and fellow London Olympian Andrew Selby are set to make their British Lionhearts  debut in the second round of the World Series of Boxing at Celtic Manor in Wales on Friday.

The series allows athletes to experience a taste of professional boxing, competing without head guards while they are also paid appearance money.

Even without their London Olympians the Lionhearts won their opening fixture against the USA Knockouts 4-1 in America last week.

GB Boxing performance director Rob McCracken tells BBC Sport's Nick Hope  that he hopes the Series will help keep more British talent in the amateur ranks as they build towards the Rio Games in 2016.
