Paul McCloskey to fight Manuel Perez on Frampton bill
Former world title challenger Paul McCloskey will attempt to get his big-time ambitions back on track when he fights Manuel Perez on 22 September.
The light-welterweight clash will be on the undercard of Carl Frampton's bout with Canadian Steve Molitor in Belfast.
Perez, 28, successfully defended his Naba championship against Jose Miguel Cotto in July.
Dungiven man McCloskey's career suffered a considerable setback when he lost to DeMarcus Corley in May.
That shock reverse followed a win over Breidis Prescott in September 2011.
Five months earlier McCloskey had lost to Amir Khan in Manchester when the fight was stopped because McCloskey sustained a cut above an eye.
The September bill is being staged at the Odyssey Arena and also features Martin Lindsay, who is challenging Welshman Lee Selby for the British and Commonwealth featherweight titles.
Commonwealth Games gold medallist Eamonn O'Kane and Jamie Conlan, bother of Olympics bronze winner Michael, will also be in action.
Unbeaten Frampton, managed by Barry McGuigan, is defending his Commonwealth and IBF International titles against two-time world champion Molitor.
