Swindon manager Paolo Di Canio releases a statement to the Swindon Advertiser saying he is considering his position at the League One club. The Italian claims the club, who announced a takeover subject to Football League approval on Wednesday, sold influential winger Matt Ritchie to League One promotion rivals Bournemouth behind his back.
"It is with great regret that I issue this statement but unfortunately the events of the last few days have left me with no alternative other than to consider my position," says Di Canio. "With the club selling one of our best players behind my back and continually making promises that are broken, I feel at this moment that my job is not just impossible but is untenable."
Swindon are away to Crawley Town on Saturday.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has shrugged off reports Pep Guardiola has made him a priority target when he takes over as Bayern Munich boss in the summer. "We all know how important Guardiola is and the many things he won at Barcelona," Suarez told Uruguayan radio station Sport 890.
"He must know a thing or two about football. But if I'm being honest, I don't ever stop to read what is being said about me in the press - it would drive me mad as I'm linked to so many clubs. The day a concrete offer comes for me to the club, we will sit down and do what's best for everyone.
"But I'm happy here. The Premier League is the best league there is. I watch a lot of football in my spare time but the most attractive for me is English football - I want to stay here. I'm very happy here."

Blatter has said in a video interview on the Fifa website that he believes all of its 209 member associations plus the continental confederations should follow its example by setting up independent ethics committees to investigate and punish any corrupt behaviour by their officials.
"Fifa alone cannot be the tribunal for 300 million people involved in football," he said.

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has revealed he asked Sir Alex Ferguson to take him off penalty duties.
Striker Rooney blazed his latest effort over against West Ham last month, the second time this season he has failed from the spot. Ferguson indicated he needed to make a change, and when United got another penalty against Fulham last weekend, it was Ryan Giggs who stepped up to put his side ahead.
But Rooney has revealed Robin van Persie, who did not start on Saturday, has now taken over as United's number one taker.
"To be honest it was my choice," Rooney told MUTV. "It wasn't good enough. I went in to speak with the manager and said I'd spoken with Robin and told him he could take them.
"At a club like this, to miss two penalties like I did and not hit the target wasn't good enough."

Scotland's interim coach Scott Johnson has refused to wade into the arrogance row that has preceded Saturday's Six Nations opener with England. Former Scotland boss Jim Telfer this week said England were arrogant, pretentious and condescending, suggesting that a number of their players had let last year's win over New Zealand go to their heads. More from Nottingham Forest chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi on the club's failure to sign George Boyd which sparked speculation about manager Alex McLeish's future: "I told Alex that if George passed the medical test I would happily sign him. I've watched him on DVD and he's a very good player.
"But unfortunately there was a problem and when you are buying a player for two-and-a-half years you cannot take any risks. We not only wanted to sign George yesterday but also made offers for a right winger and left back. If we had got all three players it would have represented a significant investment that I was willing to make.
"Alex and I had a long conversation today and we will be doing everything we can to bring the players in he wants when the emergency loan window opens if he wants to bring players in."

Al-Hasawi says: "Alex and I have spoken at length today and he has already outlined to me the kind of players he would like to bring in on emergency loan. Whatever players he asks for I will try my hardest to bring to Nottingham Forest.
"I've heard it suggested that my family don't have the money to fund what we are trying to achieve at Forest or that we don't have any idea what we are doing. That upsets me because all I want is to make this great club successful, but the last word on transfers will always be with the manager."

A move for Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo also proved fruitless before Everton managed to complete the capture of 18-year-old England Under-19 right-back John Stones from Barnsley.
"We would obviously like more," said Moyes. " But what the players have done up to now has meant that we are more than confident going into the rest of the season with what we have got."
