    We round up all the fall out from the Manchester derby as well as the rest of the Premier League action. There is plenty to talk about as we debate how to involve more women in sport and we build up to the clash between Fulham and Newcastle tonight.

    Unbeaten Indonesian featherweight Chris John already has one win over Juan Manuel Marquez and, after seeing the Mexican knock out Manny Pacquiao on Saturday, he is keen to move up in weight and face him again.

    The 33-year-old tells the Straits Times; "I will fight Marquez at any weight because it is big money. I am a much better boxer than him and I have more speed and skill."

    Former Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong is likely to miss the rest of the season after rupturing his left Achilles during AC Milan's 4-2 win over Torino.

    The 28-year-old Holland international was stretchered off just 22 minutes into the Serie A match after falling awkwardly, with the club later confirming the seriousness of the injury.

    Club vice-president Adriano Galliani told the club's official website: "De Jong's tendon has snapped and that means the season is over for him."

    Manchester United winger Ashley Young calls on the FA to take action after the Manchester derby is marred by crowd trouble, including a fan's attempt to get to Rio Ferdinand.

    He tells MUTV: "If the pitch hadn't been so wet when the fan came on and he slipped over, he could have attacked Rio.

    "When Wazza (Wayne Rooney) was trying to take his corner there were so many objects being thrown on to the pitch, and the one that hit Rio could have taken his eye out. It is not nice to see that. Hopefully that will be dealt with."

    Top 14 strugglers Mont-de-Marsan have named former Scotland international lock Scott Murray as their new forwards coach.

    The club say in a statement that results this season had been unsatisfactory and that forwards coach Marc Dantin had been switched to other responsibilities.

    Murray, 36, who was capped 87 times for Scotland, also joined Mont-de-Marsan in June after three years playing in France at Montauban and Castres.

    UK Athletics head coach Peter Eriksson has welcomed Paula Radcliffe's determination to restart her career next year.

    "I know she had an operation on her foot and it will take some time for her to get back to running, but I see it as very positive if she is still hungry to perform," Eriksson told BBC Radio 5 live.

    "The athletes know by themselves when it's time to retire and they have to come to terms with that on their own, it's nothing you force people into.

    "She is a very talented athlete and if she is hungry to race then I think that's great for us."

    Seventy six of Messi's goals were scored with his left foot, seven with the right and three with his head. Seventy four were scored from inside the box (14 were penalties) and 12 outside (seven from free kicks).

    BBC Sport's Dan Roan reports that League One side Bury have been forced into a short-term loan with the Professional Footballers' Association in order to pay player wages by a cash-flow crisis.

    "This has been brought about by the postponement of two home matches, in particular last Tuesday Johnstone's Paint Trophy match v Preston," adds Roan. "The club are confident of paying the loan back in mid-January, and having the transfer embargo lifted immediately."

    Team Sky have signed Belarusian Vasil Kiryienka from Movistar on a three-year contract.

    The three-time national time trial champion, 31, has tasted success at high-profile races such as Ster Elektrotoer, Vuelta a Burgos and País Vasco, and in 2011 wrapped up the overall title at the Route du Sud.

    Kiryienka said: "Team Sky have enjoyed a fantastic season in 2012 and I'm looking forward to contributing towards even greater success over the next three years, whether that means working for myself, or for someone else."

    Bristol City winger Albert Adomah says a training ground competition contributed to him taking the match-winning free-kick against Sheffield Wednesday.

    Adomah was given the chance despite never scoring from a free-kick during his five years as a professional. But the Ghana international, 24, curled the ball over keeper Chris Kirkland to earn his side a 3-2 victory.

    "It was me and [Neil] Danns in the final," he told BBC Radio Bristol. "I won it because [Steven] Davies wasn't involved [through injury]. That was delightful because I knew if Davies had been involved he would have bullied me off the free-kick."

    Bury's commercial director David Manchester has spoken to BBC Radio Manchester after the club have been forced to take a short-term loan with the Professional Footballers' Association to solve a cash-flow crisis

    "The club have negotiated a short-term, temporary loan with the PFA, which is to be repaid in mid-January," he said.

    "Whilst this loan is in place, and until it is repaid, the club have been issued with an embargo on registering new players with the Football League, which we were well aware of when we took out the loan."

    England captain Alastair Cook has the potential to match Sachin Tendulkar's run-scoring feats, according to batting coach Graham Gooch.

    Cook, 27, became the youngest player to reach 7,000 Test runs and England's most prolific centurion with his 23rd as England beat India in Kolkata. India's Tendulkar, 39, has a record 15,643 Test runs and 51 hundreds.

    "Potentially [Cook] could go onto that sort of level," Gooch told BBC Sport. "I don't think he's reached his peak."

    BBC Sport's Alan Shearer says Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill must beat Reading tomorrow or he could face the axe.

    He told the Sun: "Martin O'Neill has faced some mighty games as a player and manager in his career. None, however, in his 12 months in charge at the Stadium of Light will be bigger than tomorrow night's visit of Reading.

    "Right now they are looking like a team heading down. He has a worse record this season than [former manager Steve] Bruce had when he got the push. It is just two wins from their last 23 league games."

    Reading chairman Sir John Madejski says suggestions manager Brian McDermott's job is under threat are "absurd" despite the club only winning once this season from 15 games.

    "In my humble opinion it is not going happen. We have to remember the amazing achievement, on a limited budget, to get us into the Premier League."

    Ricky Burns will fight in London on Saturday but it is not clear if his title will be on the line now that the challenger Jose Ocampo has pulled out.

    The WBO lightweight champion was due to make his third defence of his belt against the 23-year-old Filipino - a late stand-in for Liam Walsh, who was injured in a car crash.

    Promoter Frank Warren is now trying to line up a new opponent for the 29-year-old Scot.

    Manny Pacquiao is ignoring pleas from his mother and wife to stop boxing following his defeat by Mexican rival Juan Manuel Marquez.

    The former eight-division world champion, 33, was knocked out by Marquez in the sixth round of their non-title fight in Las Vegas on Saturday.
