    Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is among the candidates being considered by Inter Milan as their new coach for next season. (talkSPORT)

    Arsenal are eyeing a move for Daniel Sturridge, 22. The Chelsea hitman is believed to be unhappy with his wide role. (Daily Mail)

    Leeds Rhinos back-rower Brett Delaney has signed a new contract keeping him at Headingley until the end of the 2015 season.

    Pakistan team manager Naveed Akram Cheema has denied spinner Saeed Ajmal has special International Cricket Council dispensation to extend his arm beyond the permitted 15 degrees.

    Cheema said in a Pakistan Cricket Board statement: "Previous tests conducted on the action of Saeed Ajmal show that the degree of elbow extension is well within ICC's tolerance levels."

    Ajma took 24 wickets in the 3-0 Test series whitewash of England.

    The Daily Telegraph's Paul Kelso says stripping John Terry of the captaincy has given FA chairman David Bernstein the power to put Fabio Capello in his place. "Bernstein and the FA remain minded to retain Capello until the end of his contract after the European Championship finals in July," Kelso added.

    Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish has told Charles N'Zogbia that actions speak louder than words after the winger claimed he was not enjoying his football "for the first time in my career".

    McLeish said: "Years ago, players would have hammered down the manager's door when they were frustrated rather than letting their feelings known on the internet.

    "But it amounts to the same thing in that you just can't tell people you are frustrated, you have to do something about it by consistently playing well."

    Senegal have fired coach Amara Traore after their failure at the Africa Cup of Nations.

    "The responsibility of the coach for these results is incontestable," the Senegal Football Federation said in a statement afterwards.

    Karim Sega and Aliou Cisse were named caretaker coaches for Senegal's friendly against South Africa in Durban on 29 February.

    Wada president John Fahey has criticised the Spanish Cycling Federation for continuing to support Alberto Contador - despite him being banned for two years for doping.

    In a forthcoming HARDtalk interview, being shown on the the BBC News Channel, Fahey said: "I can understand where patriotism sometimes overtakes and emotion sometimes overtakes common sense.

    "I simply say this that none of us should be supportive of anyone who's found to be a cheat."

    Jonathan Mashingaidze, chief executive of the national football association ZIFA, said former midfielder Rahman Gumbo will be the team's interim coach.

    "Gumbo has been appointed on an interim basis until Mapeza and his assistant Joey Antipas have been cleared," Mashingaidze said.
