Who are you, then?
Kimeera

Where are you from?
Sheffield

Tell us a bit about yourselves:
The band's first gig was in Feb 2001 at the Boardwalk. We quickly gained a reputation for exciting live gigs with powerfull music and destructive behaviour.

At the end of 2002 a 9-track CD was recorded in six hours. We released this ourselves and it sold really well.

In August 2003 the 'Himomar' EP was recorded and released and seems to be going down well.

Who's in the band, and what do you play?
Richard Owen - Guitar/Vocals
Ian Turley - Bass
James Wainwright - Drums

What's your best moment so far?
Every time that we have been paid for just making a big noise for half an hour!

Describe your music for us:
Kimeera's music has been described as giving the same feeling as you get just before a thunder storm, you can feel the tension building, you don't know when it's going to break but you know that when it does it will be beautiful, violent and loud.

Who are your influences?
We have many influences but people usually compare us to American Grungy Alternative-Rock or Post-Punk, New Wave bands, so I guess we're somewhere in between: "the New Wave of Alt-Rock" or something.

And if you could cover one song, what would it be?
We don't do covers, we have too many of our own songs to play. Why shout someone else's message when you've got your own things to say?
