Park near Barnsley.

Corinthian Temple is one of 26 listed buildings in the park. |
In
all the estate contains 26 listed buildings, including temples,
obelisks and an orangery within a designed landscape, which is itself
Grade I listed.
Since
appearing on Restoration in September 2003, Heritage Lottery funding
totalling £10.3 million has been confirmed and grants from
the English Heritage and the Learning and Skills Council totalling
£1.8 million have been awarded.
These monies will go a long way in enabling the Wentworth Castle
and Stainborough Park Heritage Trust to satisfy phase 1 of its ambitious
project aimed at restoring and developing Wentworth Castle and its
surrounding grounds, one of Yorkshire's most important early eighteenth
century estates.
