Now
established as one of the most popular music venues in Sheffield,
The Deep End, with its varied line-up of live gigs, caters for nearly
every musical taste.
As
well as DJs and everything from rock to pop, there are also regular
ad-lib spots for up and coming songwriters and jazz on Sundays for
those who prefer a mellower vibe.

Nice area for gigs and dj nights! The decor is depressing and the prices aren't too friendly! Nice crowd though.

The Deep End offers a live music alternative to the usual Sheffield places i.e. Boardwalk, and even a Can U Jam session on Sundays and Tuesday nights. The clientele tend to be more 'mature' than other local watering holes such as The Blue Ball or Legends, with a more laid back atmosphere. The front room provides a quieter area while the disco-esque back room can be as lively as anywhere in the local area on a good night.
As most people know, the building is a converted swimming baths and boasts unique changing cubicle seated booths which are a good conversion from the veruca covered tiles that I remember from primary school! However, the back room does often feel a bit claustrophobic and dingy as no-one saw fit to add any windows! The beer's a touch expensive too. Worthy of a look but might be more appealing to me once I hit the age of 35.
