What's
the grub like, then?
Incredible, you could taste every single flavour and ingredient
that had gone into the cooking. Started with a perfectly rounded
fishcake (salmon and cod) which was divine and followed by a fillet
of beef with a seperate oxtail pie, accompanied by the best vegetable
i have ever eaten in a restaurant.
As
if this wasn't enough i then had a wonderful flourless chocolate
cake. Overall this is some of the best food i have ever tasted.
What
did you drink?
A nice bottle of Pinot Grigio.
What's
the crowd like?
Very polite, and a nice friendly atmosphere.
And
the vibe?
Excellent for couples or families wanting excellent food, or parties
who can liven the place up.
Anything
else you'd like to say?
There is a vegetarian option if you wish.
Value
for money?
You have to be prepared to spend a little more when eating such
excellent food. me and my wife spent £77 for a bottle of wine
and 3 courses each.

Pete & Maggi, Rotherham
We haven't been since the Carriages days, so missing the "Brown's" incarnation altogether, but visited Dec 2005 and the food is still fantastic.
We had smoked salmon with tempura king prawns, a traditional turkey roast dinner, beef pie followed by brioche pudding, cheese and biscuits.
All were very good, this a place where you can literally stick a pin in the menu to choose and not be disappointed with the end results. With polite, but not intrusive staff, great food and reasonable prices, we will be back, and urge others to try.
