What's
the grub like, then?
Fantastic traditional Chinese dumpling and fondue restaurant! You
actually do the cooking yourself, on a little table top electric
stove.
You select your soups, leave them bubbling away on your stove, and
select your meats/ fish/ veges / noodles raw from the menu, drop
them into your soup and you're away!
They even give you a list of cooking times, so no risk of salmonella
or anything! Loved the chinese mushrooms.
What
did you drink?
Chinese Green Tea, fantastic and bottomless.
What's
the crowd like?
Very friendly and helpful for first-timers.
And
the vibe?
Really funky furniture, set out like a cafe with tables and a bar
section. Quite a small place. Open kitchen so you can see all the
seafood and meats being prepared.
Anything
else you'd like to say?
Loved the friendly atmosphere, will definitely be returning with
friends!
Value
for money?
Great value, and you can see exactly what you're ordering as everything
has it's own price from noodles at a quid to some quite pricey seafood.

I totally agree with all the above comments. I went for the first time with my girlfriend on Saturday and we loved it. The staff are very helpful without being patronising, the lamb and coriander dumplings were fantastic. We ordered a whole crab which was very fresh and wafer thin sliced lamb, loads of veg and the sauces were amazing. The freshness and intensity of the flavours is something you don't usually get in this country. Highly recommended *****

The best resturant in Sheffield at the moment. Not only are you getting excellent food of the best quality, but its a place to take time out, to chill and chat and actually take time to enjoy and appreciate what you are eating. Are prepared to let us take 3 hours over our meal without once trying to rush us. Nice to be somewhere where you are not limited by being a vegetarian as you are in control of what you eat. The only downside is its deservedly getting popular so now we have to book.

I've been twice and absolutely love this place. It's entertainment in itself and is more than just going out for meal due to the novelty value if you've never eaten chinese fondue before. You cook the ingredients yourself but I can still critique the food based on freshness and quality. The items were all outstanding, on my last visit there were some special seasonal items which included Razor Clams, King Scallops and King Prawmns, all were amazingly fresh, putting the fish markets I visit to shame. Service matches everything else about the place.
My only moan, on my last visit I ordered 2 dipping sauces but didn't get one free like the first time I went! Bring back 3 for 2 dipping sauces!!!!
In seriousness a 5 out of 5 eating experience.

This is the best restaurant to happen to Sheffield for years! It's so much fun, it's cheap, the staff deserve medals for their patience, helpfulness and friendliness and the food is fab (and if it's not you only have yourself to blame!) The fresh steamed dumplings are the best I've ever had outside of China.

A definite five moos from me. We went on a weekday and felt that we hadn't eaten so well in years. Having explained our requirements (veggie or seafood, no meat), we got a fantastic selection of tasty veg, two delicious soups to cook them in, three dipping sauces, a plate of twelve fresh king prawns, more tofu than you could shake a (er) tofu stick at... I could go on, obviously. The staff were solicitous to the point of almost joining us. They wanted to explain what everything was, how good it was for us etc. I even got a choice of about five different types of green tea. Vegetarian dumplings (12 for £4) were to die for too. Without alcohol, but with copious green tea and watermelon juice our bill came to just £23 for two people. Healthy, delicious and highly recommended. Though perhaps not recommended for anyone exercising portion control as we just couldn't stop eating.
