The
festival which runs between 8 and 14 November, 2004 is now in its
10th year.
It's the UK's premier festival dedicated to the documentary genre
and its filmmakers. The festival is certainly the place to be for
anyone with a love for factual film and television.
It's also an excellent opportunity for students and independent
film makers to network and find a foothold in the industry - attending
are representatives from all corners of the motion picture industry.
This year the festival boasts a huge selection of films, diverse,
original, powerful and touching - 75 in all, coming out of over
20 countries!
In addition the festival organisers will hold sessions and master
classes - these aim to provide attendees with an insight into the
documentary world.
The event is heavily endorsed by the UK film and television industries
- filmmakers Joan Churchill and Nicholas Philibert will share their
experiences and creator of 'Super Size Me', Morgan Spurlock is this
year's Channel 4 interviewee.
