Location - Dog & Partridge,
575 Attercliffe Road

And these
were your suggestions -
Anne F. Hayes:
My grandfather, Pat Hayes, ran the Dog and the Partridge, in
the Sheffield University area. He later ran the Franklin Hotel,
until his death in 1951. I'm not sure if this photo is of his Dog
& Partridge, but I'm offering this as a possible location. I
will ask my aunt for verification.
Paul Stead:
There is still a Dog and Partridge on Attercliffe Common at
the bottom of Staniforth Road it may be that.
Anon:
Dog & Partridge, Attercliffe Road
Mrs K Driver:
575 Attercliffe Road - see book "Pub on Every Corner"
Sylvia Garner:
The building is still standing although derelict. It is on the
corner of Attercliffe Road and Oakes Green (almost opposite the
bottom end of Staniforth Road).
Ray Wilson:

Staniforth Road.
Sheila Cadman:
Not sure if this is relevant but the 1833 trades directory gives
two Dog & Partridge Inns, (1) 52 Coal Pit Lane (2) 65 Trippet
Lane.
Dave Yates:
Could this be the "Dog and Partridge" which stands
on Attercliffe Road, close to the junction with Staniforth Road?
Colin Cawthron:
Looks like 575 Attercliffe Road from "A Pub on Every Corner"
by Douglas Lamb.
Don Blow:
Location Attercliffe Road, see pages 77/78 of "A Pub on
Every Corner"
J.R. Wrigley:
