Further Complications marks a move towards a more rock sound for one of Sheffield's most famous musical names. The album was produced with legendary recording engineer Steve Albini, who is famous for his work with the likes of Nirvana and Manic Street Preachers. ![]() Jarvis Cocker talks to BBC Look North In an exclusive video interview with BBC Look North's Shamir Masri, Cocker says that the album was recorded 'as live' in a deliberate strategy to produce a more traditional rock sound. But Cocker, who came to epitomise all that was quirky and lyrically pointed about the Britpop scene of the 1990s, is no musical throwback. In our video interview, Sheffield's Renaissance man discusses some of the other strings to his bow, like his DJ-ing and his recent guest editorship of BBC Radio 4's Today programme. ![]() Jarvis Cocker at Sheffield Carling Academy Sheffield prideJarvis Cocker now lives in Paris, but as he tells Look North, he does still visit family and friends in South Yorkshire and frequents Sheffield pubs with his mates.
