What's your first memory?

Most probably being at my mate Darren’s as a kid and knocking down all the shelves in his bedroom, or running and hiding when my parents came to pick me up.

First record you bought?

Not too sure, I remember the first CD I bought was The Black Crowes – Shake Your Money Maker, but I didn’t have a CD player. It used to drive my dad mad when I played it on his (he was more into his Brass Bands than southern rock music!)

Your favourite three songs?

It changes so much that by the time I finish this sentence it will have done about twice, so I’ll just say…

What's the most embarrassing thing you've said on-air?

I once tried to say ‘Evening Kick Off’ in a sports bulletin but put an 'O' where an 'I' should be. I still get grief for that one!

How do you spend your time away from the microphone?

I play drums when I get the chance (though living in a top floor flat kind of rules it out a lot so I only really get the chance when I get together with Seth (Bennett) and Benron nowadays), listen to tunes, a bit of DJ-ing every now again, and just hanging out with my girlfriend or friends.

Favourite place in South Yorkshire or North Derbyshire?

Either Monsel Head, fantastic walk down into the valley followed by a pint and a meal in the pub at the top, or Bradfield, a wonderful little village over the hill from Oughtibridge where I was brought up, some great walks, relaxing reservoirs, and a pint in The Plough or The Old Horns (bit of a theme here!)

As a 10-year-old child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A vet, but then I realised that bulls really freaked me out, so after that I wanted to be the drummer in a rock and roll band!

Who would you like to be trapped in a lift with?

I’d rather take the stairs.

Favourite food and drink?

Again a tough one, but probably a pint of cider and a Sunday Roast.

What do you never miss on television?

Don’t tend to watch too much by choice… But Reaper, MOTD, My Name is Earl and I have a hypnotic fascination with rolling news channels from around the world.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Wonder where I’d put the ticket…
