'And When Did You Last See Your Father?': Matt Beard's diary

Listen to 17-year-old Matt Beard's fascinating audio diary about working on the major film 'And When Did You Last See Your Father?'

Matt Beard from Dore in Sheffield is one lucky teenager. Just 17, Matt was cast in a major new film 'And When Did You Last See Your Father?', based on a book by poet Blake Morrison.

The film is about the author's own relationship with his dad during his struggle with terminal cancer.

Colin Firth plays Blake as an adult, and Matt plays him as a young man, a role that calls for lots of scenes alongside Blake's father Arthur, played by Jim Broadbent.
