The Season

During the football season, BBC Radio Sheffield brings you unrivalled sports coverage seven days a week - it's the only place to follow your team in South Yorkshire.

From football to ice hockey and boxing, our team of commentators and expert summarisers bring you all the action from the matches and games in South Yorkshire.

We'll be broadcasting games every week on BBC Radio Sheffield on 88.6, 94.7 and 104.1FM and we also bring you a number of bonus games on AM 1035 and DAB digital radio!

Football commentary rights

* Please note: Most BBC Radio Sheffield football commentaries are not available to listen to via the BBC South Yorkshire website. This is because of a BBC-wide agreement with the Football League that prohibits the use of these commentaries in such a manner.

The commentaries are available on a paid-for subscription basis via the South Yorkshire football club's official websites - links to which can be found at the top of this page.

Certain BBC Radio Sheffield FA Cup commentaries, along with occasional BBC Radio Five Live Football League commentaries will be available via this website to UK users only - details of forthcoming games will be advertised accordingly.

Tuesday Night Sport

Tuesday Night Sport is presented by Andy Giddings, taking a look at the weeks sporting events - the highs and the lows! You can listen to the programme on BBC Radio Sheffield every Tuesday night between 7-10pm.

Steelers Hockey

During the Ice Hockey Season listen to BBC Radio Sheffield every Friday between 7-8pm to hear Seth Bennett and Dave Simms talk about all the latest on-goings in the House of Steel.
