Freddie'sYou are in: South Today > Freddie's > Arthur's post boxes ![]() Arthur's post boxesArthur Reeder…what can you say? A collector par excellence. A warm and knowledgeable man with a great sense of irony. He knows it's completely barking but he loves it. And it shows. The thing is, Arthur's entire collection of 190 Post Boxes used to reside in his house, until he built his new museum. Help playing audio/video ![]() Lots of groups come to visit, though I had no idea, till meeting Arthur, that there are Post Box Groupies. The mind boggles. What a wonderful world we live in. And there's nothing Arthur doesn't know about Post Box history. The British didn't invent the post box but they did invent the stamp he assured me. What you don't see in the film is the many cups of tea we downed. Tea is something almost as important as letter boxes for Arthur. The staff of life. First class. ![]() This was a real roller coaster ride into the Arthurs kingdom. A magical world of Postman Pat.
