Let me introduce Rod Long and Judy Whittaker. They live in Littlehampton and are spending their retirement on a mission. They're walking the coastline of Britain. They do this in one week stints and they've covered 2 500 miles so far. Help playing audio/video Nothing unusual there you might think. And you’d be wrong. Because Rod is a compulsive note taker. He's been writing diaries since he was a child. So he's been recording of the all the walks they've done in the minutest details for the past 11 years. Interestingly he used to work for the police. It's quite fascinating, quite Mr Pooterish. And is what most us could relate to. His first book is called A South Coast Saunter - a walk for the non-athletic, non-wealthy and not particularly fit. Hmm... Sounds familiar! ![]() We filmed on Climping Beach on a beautiful autumn morning. And then at their home. I was given cake, specially baked by Judith. Utterly delicious. In fact I seem to get cake wherever I go. I'll be fatman soon! Don’t forget..if you have a passion.. I want to share it with you!
