In Southampton, in 1912, the Hampshire scouts held a grand rally with displays of first-aid and a game of Cowboys and Indians. Footage, shot on an early cine camera, shows that just five years after the formation of the scouts the movement was already booming. Roger Finn looks at 100 years of scouting. For 20 years, Lasham was the national air activities centre for the scouts.
