He joined the team in 1997 - and has reported all the big sports stories in the south since then. Roger's personal highlights include Ellen MacArthur's record-breaking sailing performances - and presenting regional programmes from the Match of the Day studios when Southampton and Portsmouth reached the FA Cup Final.
"The high-profile team sports always give us plenty of material - whether it's managerial changes, new signings or important matches. But there are many outstanding individuals - in a whole range of sports - who are a pleasure to deal with both on and off camera." Roger has also worked for the BBC News Channel and covers football matches for BBC Final Score and Match of the Day. He has won, or been nominated, for several national and regional Royal Television Society awards.
