Held every summer, this traditional music festival offers numerous concerts and workshops. Coldstream Civic Week, held each August, is a lively community event. Join the ride out to Braxton Hill to remember those who died at the Battle of Flodden. In the summer months, don't miss the fantastic rhododendron and azalea displays, in the Dundock Woods, within the grounds of the Hirsel Estate.
Get away from it allRobert Burns took his first steps into England via the Coldstream Bridge. Follow in his footsteps by crossing for a stroll along the southern bank of the Tweed. For artistic inspiration, take a visit to Paxton House. It has the largest collection of publicly owned art on display outside of the National Galleries of Scotland. Paxton House also possesses an impressive collection of Chippendale furniture. Outside there are gardens, picnic areas, and an adventure playground. To brush up on your local history, visit the Coldstream Museum. Here you can learn all about the Coldstream Guards. Plus there’s a spot for picnickers. Hirsel Country Park makes for a great family day out. There’s a scenic lake, museum, arts and crafts centre, tearoom and gallery. Plus: wildlife galore. Closer to home, Henderson Park provides some beautiful views. Here you can take a stroll along "Nun’s Walk" on the banks of the River Tweed.
