Kate Craig Wood from Guildford has taken a different journey to most women.

Kate, who's 32 and now a successful businesswoman, was born a boy. Hear about her early childhood;

She spent her teenage years struggling to get to grips with a body that she felt just didn't fit. In her late 20's it got so bad she considered suicide.

After spending her teenage years feeling trapped in a man's body, Kate embarked on treatment that would give her a body to match her brain. Here she shares just what that treatment involved.

That treatment has given her confidence to look in the mirror and to like what she sees. So what's the difference between gender identity and sexuality?

Kate is now a trustee of the Gender Identity Research and Education Society and is keen for the NHS to offer treatment to young ''trans children''.
