Allison Ferns in the Afternoon

They say everyone has a story to tell. There's nowhere better to hear those stories than on the award winning Allison Ferns in the Afternoon.

BBC presenter Allison Ferns

Allison Ferns

Whether it's someone intercepted off the street or a spontaneous call, the stories are always worth hearing.  You never quite know what's going to happen.

Take for instance, when Allison randomly rings a local household, gets chatting and finds out what's happening in their life.

You may well shed a tear but you are just as likely to have a good laugh as well.

In 2009 Allison won a silver Sony - one of the radio industry's most prestigious awards - for her interview with two brothers who had been reunited after almost a lifetime apart. The judges said the interview 'conjured strong visual images and had cultural significance'.

With WAG-time , Radio Bingo, Mr and Mrs, 6 Degrees of Separation and much more, join in the fun weekdays from 1300 with Alli.
