What makes them do it? Sussex teenagers have made a film that looks at the issue through their own experiences. A special film is being premiered in Sussex this week - it's a teenage view of binge drinking. ![]() 'Lashed but not Crashed' has been made by young people in Bognor and examiones the issue through their own experiences. Eight young film-makers learnt how to be reporters with the support of BBC staff. The group filmed as reporters - interviewing the public, local residents and each other about the issues and problems connected to binge drinking. ![]() They also got the chance to film in a professional TV studio in Bognor as well as filming a simulated road crash courtesy of Sussex Fire and Rescue Service. Some also took part in the BBC1 Politics Show. The project was set up by Bognor CAN, a local charity with support from a number of local agencies. At the premiere, which is being held at Bognor Youth and Community Centre on Wednesday 12th March, the young people will get the chance to see their film for the first time in front of family and friends as well as representatives from local agencies. ![]() Binge drinking: an inside view The film will also be screened as part of the Bognor International End of the Pier Film Festival in June 2008.
