Now, you may have strolled along the prom at Brighton many times, or eaten chips on the pier, or even swum out a bit on a nice warm day. Or maybe you have just seen it on a postcard. But here's a chance to see Brighton from a completely different perspective - all the way out on the sea.
It's a chance to get a really good view of the grand - and sometimes not so grand - architecture that lines Kings Road and all the way down to Hove, actually. This is a changing cityscape - Frank Gehry's two towers, planned for the site of the King Alfred centre, will soon give the city a different seaward silhouette. So too will the Brighton 1360, a 183m (600ft) observation tower in the area of the derelict West Pier. So our boat tour with film maker Dan Bridge is a glimpse of a city fast changing; grab it while you can. All aboard the Skylark! |
