Bats about bats

You've heard of Batman and Robin. But what about Batman, Robin and Sheila Wright from Steyning?

Video Report: Forty Eight Hours

It’s a long way from Steyning to Gotham City.

But for Sheila Wright, maybe it's closer than it might seem.

Sheila Wright is Secretary of the Sussex Bat Group; we join her as she jumps into the “Batmobile”- the family saloon, heading towards Lancing College as dusk begins to settle.

Her mission: to rescue any injured or stranded bats.

She also runs a local bat hospital and the lucky ones end up convalescing.

Sheila's aim is to safeguard bats and debunk the many myths abut them. She says: “We’ll take them along to show people.. they’re quite sweet.. hopefully we can get people to take more care of them.”
