Add Your Story

To mark the Theatre Royal Brighton's 200th anniversary, BBC SCR is collecting 200 stories from people who trod the boards, worked backstage or made up the the audience at this historic venue, over the years.

Theatre Royal Brighton – 200 Stories for 200 Years

Were you in the audience when the internationally-renowned actor fluffed his lines? Did your gran work in the box office? Maybe you shifted scenery or operated the spotlights? Or maybe you waited in the rain by the stage door to catch a glimpse of your idol?

Whatever your memory of Theatre Royal Brighton, we want to hear it.

To mark the Theatre’s 200th anniversary celebrations, BBC Southern Counties Radio and the Argus, Brighton's daily newspaper, are collecting two hundred stories from people who trod the boards, worked backstage or who have been among the thousands of theatregoers who have enjoyed shows at this sumptuous and historic venue over the years.

Apart from your stories, we’d love to see any programmes, photos or other artefacts you’ve collected.

200 Stories For 200 Years

We’ll be broadcasting stories on the radio, on TV and collecting images and stories for the website, some of which will eventually become part of an exhibition at Brighton Museum.

We’d like to hear your story!
