She may not be known for her athletic prowess but Jo completed the Brighton Mile in 2004 and is delighted to take up the challenge again. “I will be going down to Madeira Drive on July 15th, she said: “I did it last time and I am going back to have another go at it - even that bloody hill. “Anything that encourages people in this country to get a little bit fitter can only be a good thing - I mean look at the state of me. “It’s also a great way of raising a huge amount of money for all the Sport Relief projects.” Jo may not be in the running for Olympic gold medals but she easily managed to complete the course last time out – and she is delighted with the success of her fitness regime. “I am overweight and a bit lazy and all the rest of it but that doesn't mean that I can’t complete the mile. “And obviously I have benefited from the exercise, I can now get up and walk to the fridge un-aided - so that can only ever be a good thing.” Jo is delighted to be involved with Sport Relief and wants as many people as possible to come down and join her in Brighton. “I would encourage everybody to come down to Brighton and try and beat me - it's not difficult.” | "I am overweight and a bit lazy and all the rest of it but that doesn't mean that I can’t complete the mile.
