Old Lodge Nature Reserve, Ashdown Forest, East Sussex

About the walk:
Circular route Approx. 3 kilometers [or nearly 2 miles].

Start and end point:
Car park of Old Lodge Nature Reserve [TQ 469306], on the B2026 5km north of Maresfield and 5km south of Hartfield.

Directions:
The walk follows the marked nature trail around the site: Highlights include The Hatch Inn pub at Coleman's Hatch, and Pooh Bridge.

The famous bridge can be reached from the car park at Chuck Hatch/Posingford Wood [2km up the B2026 from the Old Lodge car park and turn left]. It is well signposted.

In Spring, the bluebells are very impressive and there is a wealth of wildlife in the forest including nightjars and wild deer.
