It may be a tiny regatta but we're expecting plenty of action-packed close racing between the mighty 6.5 inch catamaran skippered by Hamble's Racie Windward and the two 6 inch maxi yachts Code-breaker and Cub of Cowes.

The highlight of the regatta is the breathtaking 'fireworks' display on Friday evening - when at least two pounds worth of sparkling streamers and stars will fill the sky.

You can keep an eye on Mini Cowes Week day or night from our live webcam. Click here for the latest action.

Mini Cowes - duck
Spot Darstadly Duck and you could win our regatta.

At the end of the regatta we'll be giving away our complete Mini Cowes which includes a fleet of high-tech vessels and crew, an expanse of water (otherwise known as a paddling pool - water not included), The Needles and lighthouse, deep sea diver, fish, submarine, moon and fireworks.

To stand a chance of winning, throughout the regatta Duck Dastardly will appear for one hour each day. If you see him right click on the image and select Save As/Save Target As and e-mail it to us at southampton@bbc.co.uk, together with your name, address and telephone number.

We'll be picking a winner at random on Tuesday 12th August, 2003. Make sure you read the competition rules before you enter.
