What was it like winning Gold at Sydney 2000?
I suppose the initial feeling was just relief, but as time passed, especially when I stood on the podium on the steps of the Opera House, it was a mixture of emotions.

What about Gold in Athens?
The danger comes when you start thinking about the end result - you hope it goes well, you need a bit of luck and you obviously can't control what everybody else is doing but I'd like to think we'd bring a medal back.

Who is your biggest inspiration?
I have to say the biggest inspiration in my life is my husband - otherwise I'd get into trouble - but he definitely keeps my feet on the ground and when I come back after I've had a bad week, he makes me laugh and takes me dancing.

Have you got any superstitions?
The January before the Olympics in Sydney, I'd been competing in Brazil and I got a ribbon that had been blessed in the local church. It is traditional to wear the ribbon and make three wishes - they more-or-less came true and obviously one was to win the gold medal. I'll be wearing the ribbon in Athens!
