How did you get into riding?
My Mother and Father rode at top level so I was brought up enjoying riding as a family activity. It's a huge bonus as it's much more of an instinct and second nature.

If you weren't a sportsman, what would you be?
It was a dream of mine to be a vet, but my brain didn't really follow suit so there was no chance of that!

Who is your inspiration?
My sporting hero outside riding would be Steve Redgrave. To have competed in 5 different Olympic Games and to have won five gold medals is just unbelievable.

What's it like having Pippa Funnell on the team?
First of all she's our greatest asset to be on the same team as riding with Pippa Funnell is a dream for any rider. But then comes the individual event, that's when you can take off your team hat and think, 'right, I'm out for myself now' so I wouldn't mind if Pippa did knock a fence down, particularly if she was ahead of me!

Gold in Athens?
I think maybe the dream is more realistic this time - I've got a particularly good horse and if he goes well and performs up to his ability, he is a gold medal horse.
