Age:
27
Home Town:
Lymington
Olympic Event:
Sailing
Previous Olympics:
2000 - Gold Medal (Laser)
1996 - Silver Medal (Laser)

 |
|
|
 |
| What's
your career record? |
| I
won the World Youth Championship in 1995, Silver Medal in 1996
in the Laser Class, Gold Medal in Sydney 2000, World Champion
in 1998 and 1999, and also in the Finn Class I've been world
champion for the last three years running. |
| |
|
| What
was the best moment out of those? |
| The
Sydney Olympics - winning the Gold Medal in the last race which
was a pretty tense moment and a very tight last race. Being
up on the podium outside Sydney Opera House was just awesome
- it was sort of like all your dreams coming true. |
| |
|
| How
are your preparations for Athens going? |
| Our
preparations have gone pretty well, a few other distractions
like nude calenders which aren't quite my cup of tea, but hey,
you've got to do what the team bosses ask you! |
| |
|
| If
you weren't a sportsman, what would you do? |
| I
think I'd liked to have been in the Navy - I've always had a
fondness for the sea. I'm not sure how I'd take being told what
to do all the time, but I think it would have been fun. |
| |
|
| What's
your message home? |
| Keep
your fingers crossed, we need all the support we can get - it's
fantastic and hopefully we can do everyone at home proud. |
